B. Revisit of charity check distribution policy - It was moved that the policy will be changed to reflect that the checks will go to either the 501(C)3 organization or upon request to the Charity Trustee or the District Director. There will be a charge of $75 - $100 for any lost or replacement checks that are requested, that will need to be paid before the check will be re-issued.

The US ACBL does not benefit from charity games held by Canadian units since all funds generated by those games are returned to Canada thus necessitating a determination of the extent of participation, if any, of the four districts which are wholly or partially in Canada.
The following districts will receive $20,000 in the designated year.
2009 - 3, 6, 7, 15, 16, 22.Carried unanimously.
2010 - 5, 9, 14, 17, 20.
2011 - 8, 11, 12, 13, 18/19, 25.
2012 - 4, 10, 21, 23, 24.
B. District Director Grants - Moved that the ACBL Board of Directors will receive a $1,000 (unless they are Charity Foundation Trustees) grant for 2009 to each District Director for the charity or charities of their choice. All nominations must be received in headquarters office no later than November 15, 2008.

C. In Detroit, MI the Foundation awarded the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute $5,000, which was selected as the local NABC charity.
